Bioadaptive Impulse Therapy using

Phyisokey or Sanakey

Physiokey uses high amplitude, high density, bio-feedback controlled pulse stimulation to cutaneous nerves, activating the body’s natural pain relieving mechanisms. The effect is achieved through the stimulation of reflective zones and acupuncture points on the skin surface. The aim of treatment with the Physio/Sanakey is rapid pain relief and pain management, and functional improvement.

The functional principle of bioadaptive impulse therapy includes:

1. Impulse emission: The first impulse is emitted from the device as soon as there is skin contact.

2. Impulse absorption: This impulse only penetrates the skin in the range of a tenth of a millimeter. The receptors of the skin then process this stimulus

3. Impulse transmission: Once the impulse has been absorbed by the body, the information is transferred to spinal and neurohumoral levels.

4. Impulse adaptation: The body’s “response reaction” in the form of a change in tissue resistance properties is measured by the device within microseconds and the renewed impulse delivery is then already adapted to this “body response”.

Aims and benefits of Bioadaptive Therapy include:

  • Decrease of pain. Release of body's own opioids, endorphins through neuropeptide release.

  • Increase of ROM and function. Restoration of viscosity (sliding) of fascia restores ROM and function of musculoskeletal system.

  • Immune system strengthening. When fascia is restricted, lymphatic flow is slowed down, which in turn affects the immune system.

  • Increased circulatory flow of lymph and therefore hastens healing of injuries or infections

  • Relieves pressure which may be caused by adhesions pressing on nerves.
